Beads!

Beads!

Found a giant lot of beads and jewelry supplies on ebay for a killer price.  Couldn't pass it up!  Here is what all came in my mail.  40 pounds of bead supplies!!

It was all in baggies and mixed up together so we bought a bunch of extra boxes and separated them out by colors.  Took us nearly five hours to organize, but I'm so excited about how it's turned out.

A bunch of close ups

Lots of wire, and supplies, crimpers and wire cutters.

Some metal beads and spacers in this pic

Even some premade bracelets and necklaces

Taller than a six year old stacked up!

Now I guess I better start making some jewelry lol.  Thanks for sharing in my excitement!

Craftroom Redo Time!

Craftroom redo time!

This project has been a long time in the making.  --A new organizer there, painting job there, floor finished there.... etc. But it's finally done-done and I couldn't be happier.  I love it!

In the scary beginning... dundundun!

Lilac Mess!

Ribbons hard to get to.

A new coat of paint.  A sandy beach/cream color.

Hand painted tattoo inspired wolves.

Put back together after the paint.

Green-Sage carpet

Into beautiful hard wood vinyl -- all done by us! And painted white trim.

COMPLETE!!

All the north wall completely covered by shelving and bins.

3 individual work spaces, one for me and both girls

West wall closet

New way to do my ribbons!  In a gutter!  Much easier to get one roll out when I need it.  No more needing to take off the whole row of ribbons to get the one I need.  And look how many more ribbons I can buy now ;)

That's it!  That's my room!
Thanks for looking!

Harry Potter Party

Daughter has been on a big Harry Potter kick lately, and asked for a Potter Party for her bday.  So we did one and did it big!  Preparations took months, so this was not a last minute idea.  We had been finding items and making decorations since last Halloween.

Invitations came with their own personal owl:

Decorations:

Handmade wands for each person:

Transfigurations Class.  Transfiguring plain hogwart pictures into works of art.

Potions class.  Experiment #1 with troll bogies (dish soap), unicorn horn powder (glittered baking soda), and dragons blood (red dyed vinegar).  Experiment #2 Engorgio spell.  (ivory soap pieces in the microwave).  Experiment #3 to make your own potions.

Honeydukes Candy Shop:

They all had a blast!  And though it was a lot of work, it was worth it.  All the kids loved it.
